Electricity Cost: The Number That Decides Mining Profit

Why $0.02/kWh separates winning and losing mining operations, and how to compute your real all-in power cost.

Two identical Antminer S21s can be a great investment and a terrible one — the only difference is the power bill. Electricity is 70–90% of a miner's operating cost, so small rate differences compound brutally.

Your real rate is not your utility's headline rate. Add demand charges, delivery fees, taxes, and the ~5–10% overhead from cooling and fans. A "$0.08" residential plan is often $0.11 all-in.

Every miner page on this site lists its break-even electricity price — compare it to your all-in rate, not your nominal one.
