Start with the coin and its algorithm
A mining algorithm defines the work performed by the equipment. A machine designed for one algorithm cannot be assumed to support another coin or algorithm. Check the manufacturer’s compatibility list and firmware requirements.
Keep the units consistent
TH/s, GH/s and kSol/s describe different scales or types of work. Comparing their raw numbers across algorithms is misleading. Use the same algorithm and units to compare hashrate and efficiency.
Compare costs across algorithms
Electricity in kWh and expenses in USD can be compared across setups. Revenue estimates also depend on each network’s conditions and coin price. They are a scenario, not a prediction.
Build a useful shortlist
Choose an algorithm, filter by cooling, enter your electricity rate, then select two models. Request the exact batch and a written hardware or hosting quote before deciding.
