MINING GUIDES

Merged mining: Litecoin and Dogecoin

Understand what a combined Scrypt revenue estimate means.

One hashrate, two networks

Compatible Scrypt mining pools can use the same mining work for Litecoin and Dogecoin. This is called merged mining. The two rewards depend on their respective network difficulty, block subsidy and coin price.

Check your pool’s payout rules

Our Scrypt estimate adds theoretical LTC and DOGE subsidy revenue. It assumes your pool pays both components. Pool fees, payout methods and additional merged coins can change the amount you receive.

The split changes

There is no fixed percentage of revenue from either coin. Compare pool payout rules and current network data rather than assuming the same split will persist.
